About the Role

DevDinos is looking for a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help maintain the reliability, functionality, and overall quality of our software products.

You will work closely with developers, designers, and other team members to identify potential issues, validate requirements, and ensure applications perform as expected before release.

The role involves functional testing, regression testing, API validation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes.

We are seeking someone with a systematic approach to testing, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to identify issues that may affect the end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review functional requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

  • Perform manual, functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing of software applications.

  • Test web interfaces, APIs, user permissions, and end-to-end business workflows.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.

  • Collaborate with developers to investigate issues and verify implemented fixes.

  • Conduct cross-browser and responsive interface testing.

  • Validate application behaviour under different user roles, input conditions, and error scenarios.

  • Maintain testing documentation and update regression test coverage.

  • Participate in release readiness assessments and communicate quality-related risks.

  • Recommend improvements to testing procedures and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in software quality assurance or application testing.

  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the development lifecycle.

  • Experience performing manual and functional testing of web applications.

  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools and structured defect reporting.

  • Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.

  • Understanding of browser developer tools and common web application behaviours.

  • Ability to create clear test cases and identify edge cases.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.

  • Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.

  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and CI/CD workflows.

  • Experience testing SaaS platforms, dashboards, or business applications.
